Meadow in Moss II

Meadow in Moss II

Slender stems of white daisy-like flowers spread unevenly across a deep, mossy green ground, with some blooms fully open and others still forming tight buds. The textured background gives the panel a slightly weathered quality, while individual stems lean and bend rather than following a uniform line. The loose arrangement keeps the flowers feeling gathered from a meadow rather than formally planted. Meadow in Moss I uses the same flowers in a more widely scattered composition, so the two panels complement one another without mirroring each other.
